1. Physical exercise alternating with relaxation will alleviate some physical reactions to stress

2. Remind yourself that it is okay that you are experiencing expected reactions to stressful incident.

3. Keep your life as routine as possible. Don't make any significant life changes.

4. Avoid alcohol and drug use. It won't help and it may hinder your recovery.

5. Help your co-workers by sharing your feelings and seeing how they are doing.

6. Give yourself permission to react, don't try to hide your feelings.

7. Eat regularly, don't skip meals. Minimize sugar and caffeine use.
